This is a very flexible place in terms of its seating arrangements because there are three variations of seating arrangements to choose from. It could be done traditional theater rows, cabaret tables or standing room. It all depends on the type of performance that will take place.
This place is not only known for gimmicks and night out but it is also a well-known place wherein Broadway shows are held. This place is also one of the five cities that is a permanent resident for different performing arts disciplines. These are the Houston Grand Opera, Houston Symphony Orchestra, Houston Ballet, which is the fifth largest ballet troupe in the United States and Alley Theater, which was awarded as the Tony Awards best regional theater in 1996.
A resident for the Houston Ballet and Houston Grand Opera is the Gus S. Wortham Center that opened during the year 1987. It is located at the corner of Smith and Texas. It is a 437, 000 square foot building that was funded by a private sector.
Another tourist attraction is the different parks such as the Sesquicentennial Park, Heritage Society and Tranquility Park. These parks are good places for biking and other outdoor events. A museum such as the Museum of Texas History contains a lot of interesting materials from Spanish era to the recent space exploration. That’s not all; Houston Theater District is also a place for some underwater adventure because of its Downtown Aquarium.
